Specifies the requirements for the design, construction and performance of mailboxes in both commercial and residential applications. It is intended for use by regulatory authorities and all persons concerned with the manufacture, installation, maintenance and general requirements of mailboxes.
Scope
This Standard specifies requirements for the design, construction and performance of mailboxes in both commercial and residential applications.
NOTES:
1 Information on the installation and positioning of mailboxes is provided in Appendix A.
2 Methods for determining compliance with this Standard are given in Appendix B.
