This Standard specifies requirements for electromagnetic flux leakage examination of seamless and welded steel tubes (excluding submerged arc-welded tubes).
Unless otherwise specified by the product standard or agreed between the purchaser and the manufacturer, it is mainly applicable to inspection of longitudinal imperfections, on tubes with an outside diameter greater than or equal to 10 mm.
NOTE: The International Standards corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows:
ISO 10893-1: 2011 Non-destructive testing of steel tubes-Part 1: Automated electromagnetic testing of seamless and welded (except submerged arc-welded) steel tubes for the verification of hydraulic leaktightness
ISO 10893-3: 2011 Non-destructive testing of steel tubes-Part 3: Automated full peripheral flux leakage testing of seamless and welded (except submerged arc-welded) ferromagnetic steel tubes for the detection of longitudinal and / or transverse imperfections (Overall evaluation: MOD)
The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standards and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
