{"id":214421,"date":"2024-10-19T13:53:48","date_gmt":"2024-10-19T13:53:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/uncategorized\/bs-en-143882015\/"},"modified":"2024-10-25T06:52:19","modified_gmt":"2024-10-25T06:52:19","slug":"bs-en-143882015","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/pdfstandards.shop\/product\/publishers\/bsi\/bs-en-143882015\/","title":{"rendered":"BS EN 14388:2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This European Standard specifies requirements for the following road traffic noise reducing devices (as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.1<\/span>):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>noise barriers (as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.2<\/span>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>claddings (as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.5<\/span>);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>road covers (as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.6<\/span>); and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>added devices (as defined in <span class=\"xref\">3.7<\/span>).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These devices may include both acoustic and structural elements, where:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>an acoustic element is an element whose primary function is to provide a noise reducing device with sound insulation, diffraction and\/or sound absorption, it is a part of noise reducing device to be used along roads, and<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p>a structural element is an element whose primary function is to support or hold in place acoustic elements, it is a part of noise reducing device to be used along roads. Depending upon the design of the noise reducing device, structural elements may potentially be tested separately from acoustic elements.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>They may be made of different materials for which specific standards are to be applied in accordance with the specifications prescribed hereafter.
