Three types of coatings are covered:<\/p>\n<p>1.1.1 <span class=\"italic\"><span class=\"italic\">Type I<\/span><\/span> Aluminum-coated (aluminized),<\/p>\n<p>1.1.2 <span class=\"italic\"><span class=\"italic\">Type II<\/span><\/span> Zinc-coated (galvanized), and<\/p>\n<p>1.1.3 <span class=\"italic\"><span class=\"italic\">Type III<\/span><\/span> Zinc-5 % Aluminum-Mischmetal (Zn-5Al-MM) alloy-coated.<\/p>\n<p>1.2 The chain-link fabric woven from wire in this specification is covered separately by Specifications A 491 for Type I, A 392 for Type II, and F 1345 for Type III.<\/p>\n<p>1.3 The marcelled tension wire manufactured from wire in this specification is covered separately in Specifications A 824 and F 1664.<\/p>\n<p>1.4 This specification does not cover the wire used for Specification A 392 when the chain-link fence producer applies the coating after the weaving process.<\/p>\n<p>The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard.
