This British Standard specifies requirements for injection moulded pipe fittings made from acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) polymer, for solvent welding to ABS pressure pipe conforming to BS 5391-1:2006.<\/p>\n

This British Standard is applicable, for example, to fittings intended to be used for:<\/p>\n

  1. chemical plants;<\/li>\n
  2. industrial sewerage engineering;<\/li>\n
  3. power engineering (cooling and general-purpose water supply);<\/li>\n
  4. electroplating and pickling plants;<\/li>\n
  5. the semiconductor industry;<\/li>\n
  6. agricultural production plants;<\/li>\n
  7. water treatment;<\/li>\n
  8. potable water supply;<\/li>\n
  9. low temperature applications down to \u221240 \u00b0C.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
