It is complementary<br \/>\nto, and extends, the Health Industry Business Communication Council<br \/>\n(HIBCC). The document covers requirements that include the<br \/>\nsymbology, print quality measurement (wavelength of light), module<br \/>\nwidth, symbol size, placement and orientation of the label, and<br \/>\ndata form and content.<\/p>\n<p>The values stated in SI units are to be regarded as the<br \/>\nstandard.
