Preface<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the second edition of CAN\/CSA-E60335-2-70, Household and similar electrical appliances – Safety – Part 2-70: Particular requirements for milking machines, which is an adoption, with Canadian deviations, of the identically titled CEI\/IEC (Commission \u00c9lectrotechnique Internationale\/International Electrotechnical Commission) Standard 60335-2-70 (second edition, 2002-03). It supersedes the first edition published in 1995 as CAN\/CSA-E335-2-70 (adopted CEI\/IEC 335-2-70:1993).<\/p>\n

Scope<\/strong><\/p>\n

This clause of Part 1 is replaced by the following.<\/p>\n

This International Standard deals with the safety of milking machines, to be used in stalls and in the open, that are designed for milking farm animals, such as cows, the rated voltage of the milking machine being not more than 250 V for single-phase operation and 480 V for other operations.<\/p>\n
